A brave Rescue

The rescue happened while we were travelling in Serinyà last August. It was really amazing and I got a photo of it.

I was with my friends and we were on bicycle. We were wxploring the forests when we saw people on the forest. 

There was a woman, a ma, and two children exploring the forest. A tiger was coming from the forest behind them. A boy was also watching, and as soon as he saw the problem, he went to the people with his bicycle. 

The boy went to the city three times and rescued the people. He was very brave because the tiger was very dangerous.

Marta: Yes do you like it?

Laura: Yeah. When did you take this?

Marta: I was on a trip. These people were doing tricks on their skateboards.

Laura: really? Whay were they doing that?

Marta: It was a show.

Laura: Did you try it?

Marta: You're kidding! I can't skateboard.

Laura: Yeah, well it's a great photo. Well done!

Mum seeks baby

In the case of mammals, there could be another explantion for "friendships" between animals of different species: the maternal instict.

"If a famale loses her babies, the maternal instict can make her adopt a baby of many species, says Ms Bouchard. For wxample a linoess can take care of a young antelope as  if it was her own baby".

this is confirmet by the experience of Fr Daphne Sheldrick, a vet who specialitzes in the rehabitation of orphan animals. One day, someone brought her a baby zebra adopted by a lioness.... who dad devoured its mother the day before.

When a female becomes a mother, her body produces a hermone, oxytocin, with helps her to produce milk and become attached to her babies. "If the die, the mother tries to stisfy her need to be a mother " Ms Bouchard explains. "In this case, the maternal insict is more important than the hunting instinct."

A piglet and a tiger

A piglet sleeps on a tiger at Sriracha zoo in Thailand. Staff at he zoo encourage different animals to live together soon after they are born.

What about human beings?

Human babies also have a socialitzation period. Some* years ago, the story of little Tippi Dergé caused a sensation. 

Born in Africa, she slept happily with lions, squabbled with a wild* leopard and rode ostriches!
