The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is the story a few months in the life of this child living in a small town in southwestern United States along the Mississippi River.

Character description

Tom Sawyer's best friends include Joe Harper and Huckleberry Finn. In The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Tom's infatuation with classmate Rebecca "Becky" Thatcher is apparent. Mark Zuckerberg creted Facebook in 2004, aged 19.

today he is the second youngest billionarie* in the world.

Thanks to the success of Facebook., Mark Zuckerberg has a personal fortune of around 14 billion* dollars. But the 27-year-old businessman has very modest lifestyle. He wears jeans, T-shirts and trainers*, constatly and is studing Chinese.

Zudkerbers was a computer prodigy from a young age: his friends did illustrations whichi he transformed into computer games.

He also showed a special talent for Latin, Ancient Greek and fencing*.

He left New York in 2002to go to Harvard, an elite American university, to studiy psychology and computer science. He was shy* and people thought he was a geek. He started to develop social* network sites for fun.

Zuckerberg hacked* into Harvard's computer system on 20 October 2003. He copied private photos of university students to ccreate a site called Facemash. On the site, sutdents could see photos.

He was not discouraged.
Zuckerberg understood the demand for a website to share* personal information with friends. So in 2004, he lunched* Facebook from his university berdroom. Within 24 hours, 1,200 Hervard students had singed* up. after one month, more than half* of the student population at Harvard had a Facebook porfile.


Facebook soon arrived at other universities. Zuckerberg left harvard without graduating* - He wanted to spend time developing his site. In just seven years, facebook changed the world. 


With 800 million users, Facebook is now the biggest website on the planet. Zuckerberg wants to keep Facebook users on the site for longer by sharing music, films amd personal information in the Timeline*. 


Zuckerberg has had problems with his site. Three Harvard students accused his of copying their ideas to crate Facebook, and mon * a lawsuit* against him in 2008. Zuckerberg, a private person, has also been critized for Facebook's principales: making private information public...


The young billionarie* doesn't care* about this, though. He also says that he didn't just want to make money. "The thing I really care about is the mssion, making the world open, " hesays. 


Facebook for your phoe has helped Zuckerberg complete his mission... and made wven more money for his company. But like Mircrosoft's Bill Gates, Zuckerberg promises to gime half of his money to charty. With everything he does, Mark Zuckerberg continues to change the world...

When did it become a dangerous celebration?Why? Originally Halloween was a pagan festival, around the idea of linking the living with the dead, when contact became possible between the spirits and the physical world, and magical things were more likely to happen.

How do people celebrate it today? Children would go from door to door in disguise as creatures from the underworld to collect treats, mainly fruit, nuts and the like for the festivities. These were used for playing traditional games like eating an apple on a string or bobbing for apples and other gifts in a basin of water, without using your hands. Salt might be sprinkled on the visiting children to ward off evil spirits.

My ideal home

My ideal home is a modern flat outside the town. It's big and it's got everything. It's got four bedrooms, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a big kitxhen and a big livingroom. My bedroom have a balcony and you can see the garden from there.

On abn ideal afternoon in my ideal home we're all here. My mum and dad are wathing TV in the livingroom. My brother is in her berdroom. He is chatting on the internet. 

My favourite room is my bedroom becauset is my space and I have my things in it. I like it bacuase the house a lot of sun and there is a garden with the dog, and i like very much.

My summer holidays

Hello I'm Laura and these is my last summer holidays, this summer I did different things.


First I went to a riding club to help the little girls with the horses. I liked it very much because I like horses and riding horses very much. 


Second I went to "Can Toni" with my friends, it was funny because I did a lot of things! We sweam in the pool, the water was very cold but it was fun, and we played games in the forest. 


Third I went to Tossa to my grandpas house, with my family, and my friend Silvia. I really liked it because every day we went to the beach. In the afternoon we went shopping with my friend.

Hi,I'm Laura and I'm twelve years old. I'm from Serinyà and I'm a student at Casa Nostra School in Banyoles. Now I'm in 2n of ESO.
